What is a LCM to SCY Conversion?

Going the other direction, an LCM time turns into a faster SCY time. The 50-meter race has half the turns, so you remove the turn advantage and then scale meters back down to yards — the reverse of the SCY to LCM conversion.

This calculator inverts the yard-to-meter factor (1.11), subtracting the per-turn adjustment for the extra walls a 25-yard swim gives you. Freestyle and medley gain roughly 0.8 s per extra turn, backstroke 0.6 s, breaststroke 1.0 s and butterfly 0.7 s.

Metric distance events are paired to their yard equivalents: 400 Free to 500 Free, 800 Free to 1000 Free and 1500 Free to 1650 Free. All converted times are estimates.
